BACK IN THE GROOVE AT ANFIELD
- Liverpool's stylish 4-0 win against Crystal Palace means
the Reds are Premier League champions 24 hours later
after Manchester City lose their must-win game at Chelsea.
Manager Jürgen Klopp's side are so dominant that the visitors
fail to touch the ball in Alisson's penalty-area during the entire
game – a new Premier League record. - Trent Alexander-Arnold curls in an unstoppable free-kick to
get the scoring underway before Jordan Henderson strikes a
post. Mo Salah chests down Fabinho's pass and finishes to
make it 2-0, and after the break the Brazilian midfielder scores
with a stunning long-range strike. Sadio Mane's slide-rule
finish, from Salah's pass, makes it a convincing 4-0 win. - “Imagine how this stadium would have been full today and
all the people could have experienced it live,” says Klopp.
“I don't think the game could have been better because my
boys played like everybody was in the stadium.”
