Alternatively, you can trace the sketch onthe back using an edible pen and then retrace it ontothe sugarpaste if you do not mind the black faint lines.You can also use a scribe and trace your main drawing.Step 50.Mix some vodka with Olive colour. It is a watercolourpainting, so for the best results, make several shades ofgreen by mixing different quantities of vodka and thepaste colour.Steps 51a & b.Your first green layer has to be the very lightest possibleusing the no. 12 brush. Leave to dry before applying asecond layer of mix.Instead of long strokes, smudge a darker mix of greenaround the edges of your painted leaves, thus givingsome depth. Leave again to dry before applying morecolour.Steps 51c & d.Maintaining the smudging rather than strokingapproach, add another darker layer around the edges.Use a fine brush and darker green mix to start paintingaround the edges and some details. Do not worry if youget out of line.
