50Steps 13a-c.Once rested, put some glue on the base and extrudered fondant strings. Twirl the fondant strings aroundand onto your poppy petal base randomly. Make 4-5petals of varying shapes for each poppy centre placedon the cake.Steps 14a-c.Place the petals around the poppy centre. You canoverlap them to give the poppies a 3D feel. You canmake buds too by just using one petal and placing somegreen twirls in a W and U shape as the sepal on thepetal. Use pins to hold the petals in place until the gluehas dried.Step 15.For the daisies, make 10-12 x 1.5”-3” green fondantsausage-like strings to make the stems at the base of thebottom tier. Then 10-12 yellow twirls for the centres ofvarying sizes and about 8-10 white sausage-like stringsper daisy centre which will be the petals.Steps 16a & b.Place the daisy stems all around the bottom tierrandomly. Around each stem, place 8-10 daisy petals.Put the daisy centre in the middle. Use pins to holdeverything in place until the glue has dried.Step 17.Back to the sun. Now, it is time to put posy picks into thecake and the wire of the sun in the pick.
