Each spring, the first buds of the delicate pink cherry

blossom start to appear, which typically takes place

between March and May. Then, the country is transformed

you will journey through this

fascinating land, travelling

during the heart of cherry

blossom season and discovering

what makes Japan’s rich history,

Your trip starts in the city of Osaka, where you’ll visit

Osaka Castle, tour the Dotonbori restaurant district and

enjoy a cruise along the Yodo River, before exploring the

lively Kuromon Market. Next, you will be immersed in the

rich history of Mount Koya, a centre of Shingon Buddhism,

and explore the Japanese Alps. In Kyoto, you will visit the

Bamboo Forest and see the Moon Bridge, Maruyama Park,

where you’ll stroll along the Philosopher’s Path, and more.

You’ll also have time to visit Kenroku-en, one of the

Three Great Gardens of Japan, relax in a

hot spring in Takayama, and experience

life in rural Japan in UNESCO-listed

Shirakawa-go. No trip to Japan would be

complete without a visit to Mount Fuji,

which you’ll see before taking a cruise on

Lake Ashi. In Tokyo, Japan’s capital, you

will have another chance to witness the

cherry blossom in a location synonymous
