Weneedtobepositive here, don’twe?Weknow
that there will beatimewhen we canget out and
aboutonour motorcycles andIforoneamlooking
forward to it.
Meanwhile we’ve all been indoors doing what we
love–fettling and fiddling with older motorcycles. We
know this because speaking to those in the trade, sales
of tools and parts are going through the roof as classic
bikers knuckle down and get on with various projects.
Ourcontributor Ralph FerrandrunsBiker’s
To olbox (www.bikerstoolbox.co.uk) and hesays: “We
have beenuber-busy at Biker’s To olboxbecause
everyone is in lockdown andhas nothing to do other
than fettle their toys. We’ve beenworking stupid
hours, seven daysaweek to complete orders!”
If anything,thesetimesshowuswhat’s
important: family andfriends, healthandhappiness.
And our own hobbies thatoften help us keep happy
and sane, which is why somebusinessesare still
going and recordingbig sales. Forsome, thisisn’t
possibleandthey’ve hadtoshutupshop until
this is all over.Manyspecialist service providers
cannot remainopen while trying tostick tosocial
distancing measuressotheyare riding out the storm
as best they can.
So, if you know of anysuch businesses–let me
know.Let’sgive themsomesupport inthe form
of editorial for when this is allover so theycan
ge tbacktowork, confident that their order books
are full. And–don’t forgetus! We’dlove youto
subscribesoyou don’t needtobuy usfromthe
shops. It’scheaper,too! Gotopage
for more details. Staysafe!
Let’spulltogether...
