thatinvolvesreducingitsglobalproductioncapacityby20%.
Theplancomesnotonlyin
thewakeofthecoronaviruspandemic,butalsoduring
a yearin whichNissanhas
reporteditsrstannualoperatinglossfor 11 yearsand
itsbiggestfortwodecades.
AlthoughtheJapanesebrandwillclosefactoriesin
SpainandIndonesia,it appearstohavesecuredthelong-
termfutureofitsSunderland
factory,whichhasaround 6000employeesandsupports27,000
jobsin thesupplychain.

afterHonda’sannouncement
