laid-backandunderstated,’explainsEmma.
Whenit cametofurnishingtheirhome,Emma
andKarimhadbeengatheringanimpressivemixof
second-hand,auctionandsalvaged20th-centurypieces
formanyyears,severalofwhichwereScandinavian
classics.‘Mostofthefurniturewehave,we’veowned
fora verylongtime,’saysEmma.‘Thisstyletakescentre
stageinsimple,pared-backsurroundings,so you really
don’tneedmuchelsetodresstheroom.’
