We still remember 1998 like it was yesterday... we
also remember the exact layout of the Racoon City
police station, so retreading our steps in Capcom’s
reworked and rebooted Resident Evil 2 is both a trip
down memory lane, and a fantastic new experience.
Find out what we make of the survival horror game
remake on page 74! Rockstar’s Red Dead Online is
on Beta, and we’ve already spent many, many hours
exploring West Elizabeth, New Austin and more in
the expansive Western world of the multiplayer epic.
We give you the benefit of our playing experience on
page 78. Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden (p82) is
anX-COMstyle combat/strategy game based on the
post-apocalyptic tabletop RPG, while Ashen (p88)
is a stylish indie-action title that’s best played with
a friend. We also check out the brilliantly original,
but quite unforgiving, Below (p86). If you like the
challenge of a roguelike, this one could be for you.
We’ve got another Capcom remake for you in the
form of Onimusha Warlords. The game was first out
in 2002 on the original Xbox asGenma Onimusha,
and was a samurai action-puzzler that owed a lot to
theResiseries. Now it’s on Xbox One – find out if it
recaptures its honourable past on page 85! Finally,
Tales Of Vesperia is a much-loved JRPG and we
check out the Definitive Edition on page 91.
