armhole meas 20 (22:23:24:25) cm, ending
w it h R S fa c i n g for n e x t row.


SHAPE SHOULDERS
Cast off 8 (10:10:11:12) sts at beg of next
4 rows.
Cast off 8 (9:11:11:11) sts at beg of next
2 rows.
Leave rem 47 (47:47:51:51) sts on a holder.


SLEEVES
Usi n g 3. 2 5mm n e e d l e s, c a s t on
46 (50:50:54:54) sts.
Work 5cm in rib as set on Front, ending
with WS facing for next row.
Next row: Rib to end, inc 1 (0:1:0:1) st and


dec 0 (1:0:1:0) st across row.
47 (49:51:53:55) sts.

Change to 4mm needles and cont as folls:-
Row 1 (RS): K10 (11:12:13:14), work next
27 sts as set on row 1 of chart, knit to end.
Row 2: P10 (11:12:13:14), work n e x t 2 7 s t s
as set on row 2 of chart, purl to end.
These 2 rows set st st and chart placement.
Working 16-row rep as set on chart
throughout, inc 1 st at each end of 3rd and
6 (10:3:10:12) fol l 6th (6th:4th:4th:4th)
rows, then on every foll 8th (8th:6th:6th:
6t h) row to 7 7 (81:89:95:99) sts.

Cont without shaping until Sleeve meas

SHAPE SLEEVE TOP
Cast off 4 (5:6:7:9) sts at beg of next 2 rows.
69 (71:77:81:81) sts.
Dec 1 st at each end of next 9 (7:11:11:9) rows,
6 (9:8:10:12) foll RS rows, 1 foll 4th row,
5 fol l R S row s t h e n on fol l 3 row s. 2 1 s t s.
Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows. 15 sts.
Cast off rem sts.

MAKING UP
Join both shoulder seams.

NECKBAND
With RS facing, using 3.25mm circular
needles, starting and ending at edges of
cast-off sts of front neck, pick up and knit
60 (64:70:73:75) sts up right side of neck,
work a c ro s s 47 (47:47:51:51) sts from back
neck and AT THE SAME TIME inc 1 (1:1:0:0)
st and dec 0 (0:0:1:1) st, pick up and knit
60 (64:70:73:75) s t s d ow n l e f t si d e of n e c k.
168 (176:188:196:200) sts.

Row 1 (WS): K1, K2, *P2, K2; rep from * to
last st, K1.
Row 2: K1, *P2, K2; rep from * to last 3 sts,
P3.
These 2 rows set rib.
Work 2 rows more.

Next row (WS): Rib 64 (68:72:76:76),
(M1p, P1, K2, P1) 10 (10:11:11:12) ti mes,
M1p, rib to end.
179 (187:200:208:213) sts.

Working extra sts created as purl sts on the
WS so stitches at back neck are now 2x3 rib,
cont as folls:-
Work 3 rows.

SHORT-ROW SHAPING FOR COLLAR
Next 2 rows: Rib 115 (119:126:131:134),
wrap and turn (when working back across
wrap sts work wrap and st together),
rib 51 (51:52:54:55), wrap and turn.
Next 2 rows: R i b to l a s t w r ap s t, work
wrap st and the next 3 (3:4:4:4) sts, wrap
and turn, rib to last wrap st, work wrap st
and the next 3 (3:4:4:4) sts, wrap and turn.
Rep the last 2 rows 10 times more, on last
row rib to end.
Work 9 row s m ore i n r i b.
Cast off loosely in rib.

FINISHING
Place right front of collar over left and sew
