STITCHthe fourfabric panels aroundthe

central stitched evenweave beforethe back

ofthe cushionis added. The seam

allowance onallseamsshouldbe1.25cm

(½in). Toassemblethe cushion, lay the two

smallerfront panels atthe top and bottomof

the stitched evenweave. Pin,tack, then

machinestitchinplace.

PLACEthe backing fabric and the

assembledcushionfrontrightsides

together. Pin,tackand the stitcharound

three sides ofthe cushion. Reducethe

seamallowance,andthenclipthe corners

beforeturning tothe rightside. Insert the

cushionpad,andthenusing small, neat

stitches, sewupthe gap.

ATTACHthe two longer front panels either

sideofthe central evenweavepanel,pin,

tackand machinestitchasbefore. Lay the

ribbonover the joiningseamsbetween the

panels onthe cushionfront, pin and then

machinestitchdownbothsides ofthe

ribbontoholdit inplace – attachthe ribbon

onthe two horizontalseamsfi rst.
