WORKING PATTERN

SCARF

Using C1, cast on 15 sts.

Work 16 rows garter stitch

(every row knit). Break off C1,

leaving a 10cm end. Using

C2, work 16 rows garter

stitch. Break off C2, leaving a

10cm end.

Last 32 rows form stripe patt.

Continue in stripe pattern

until scarf measures approx

200cm in length, ending with

16 rows C2.

Cast off.

FRINGE

Wind C1 around a piece of

cardboard 15cm wide 20

times and cut along one edge.

Fold 4 strands in half and

using crochet hook, draw loop

through 2nd stitch at same

coloured end of scarf. Draw

ends through loop and pull to

tighten. Repeat in every 3rd

stitch across end. Repeat with

C2 on other end of scarf.

MAKING UP

Sew in all ends.
