Addingtext
AddlabelsusingtheTexttoolintheDrawingtoolbar.You
canresizemostobjectsbyselectingitandusingthehandleson
itssurroundingrectangle,butwithtextthisonlyaltersits
boundingbox.Instead,tochangethesize,usetheFontName
andFontSizemenus,whichappearwhenevertextisselected.

Zoominonthetophalfofthepageusingthemagnifying
glassintheStandardtoolbar(atthetop).SelectRectanglefrom
theBasicShapesiconintheDrawingtoolbar(atthebottom),click
atonecorneranddragtothediagonalcorner.Wewantoneof
15cmx4cmsowatchtheindicationsintherulerswhiledragging.2
Linesandcircles
Addthelinesandthecirclesusingthemethodsusedfor
boxes.Youcandrawonelineandcircle,thencopythem:select
thelineandcirclebydraggingaboxroundthemwiththeSelect
toolbeforeselectingEdit>Duplicate.Rotatewhenneededusing
theRotatetoolintheModetoolbaranddragtoitsnewposition.4
Tidyingup
Nowyou’llprobablywanttotidyitup.Usethetechniques
ofresizingandmovingthatwe’vealreadyseen;youmightalso
wanttochangethelinethickness(0.05cmisgood)usingLine
WidthintheLineandFillingtoolbar.UsingModify>Alignafter
