The weather is unpredictable at the
best of times – as I write we’ve just
experienced a heatwave, whereas this
time last year we were knee-deep in
snow! It makes sense to ind ways to
make your knitwear more versatile,
which is why our Transseasonal
Collection features layering garments, easy-wear wraps
and sweaters in light, breathable yarns. The collection
starts on page 14.
Easter is late this year, so if you haven’t started already
there’s still plenty of knitting time ahead! Nicola Valiji’s
Easter egg birdhouse is ingenious – not only does it
look pretty but you can lift up the roof to conceal a batch
of mini chocolate treats! You’ll also ind decorative
knitted eggs and festive lamingos in our Easter section
which starts on page 33.
Self-striping yarns are always fun to use. We’ve
hunted around to ind some of the best and brightest –
you’ll ind them on page 41.
It’s time for our regular new season round-up, and
our focus is on the lattering, with plenty of tips on how
to wear the latest patterns, plus beautiful brand-new
yarns to try. Check it out on page 43.
Finally, don’t miss Yarn Shop Day on Saturday 27th
April. Shops around the country are hosting fun events
and giving away goodies. There’s more information on
page 52 and also at letsknit.co.uk/yarnshopday
