the wealthy parts of Chicago). T-Mobile showed very fast results in more
outlying areas—Edgebrook and Ravenswood on the Northwest Side, Hyde Park,
and on part of the South Side.

tests on AT&T were considerably slower than our 4G tests. AT&T customers
should be happy with their 4G phones and not spring for a 5G phone in Chicago
quite yet.


COLUMBUS: VERIZON WIRELESS
We’ve never tested Columbus before, but it turns out it’s a hot spot for 5G, with

We saw Verizon 5G downtown, just north of downtown, and by Ohio State
University. Near the state capitol, we scored 373Mbps on Verizon 5G. But it’s
important to note that we got an even faster result on Verizon’s 4G network—
414Mbps outside Riverside Hospital on the north side of town.
