Get over here! No, not you, you! The one who loves
a bit of gratuitous gore with your fighting game
violence! That’s right, Mortal Kombat 11 is the game
of the moment, but is it really that good? You can
trust OXM to deliver a trustworthy, in-depth verdict
on your Xbox games, so find out what we thought of
NetherRealm’s latest over the page! Next up we’ve
got more zombies for you. And when we say ‘more
zombies’, in this case we really mean it. World War Z
(p78) is a tardy adaptation of the Brad Pitt flick from
a few years ago, that was memorable for the sheer
number of zombies attacking at speed. Finally, the
technology exists to put that many zombies into a
game! A bit of a change of pace, next, as we chalk
up our cues for Snooker 19 (p80). Could this fully
licensed billiards sim be the best snooker game yet?
If that all sounds a bit gentle for you, strap in for a
spiritual successor to the Burnout series as you’re
invited to partake in some Dangerous Driving (p82).
Then we have reviews of top-down shooter God’s
Trigger (p84), fantasy RPG For The King (p85), and
snow-bound survival adventure Fade To Silence
(p86). So we’ve dealt with thousands of zombies this
month, and now it’s the turn of rats. Yep, there’s a lot
of the disease-carrying critters in our final game,
A Plague Tale: Innocence. Read our review on p88!
