Emeline Lace.
This lace is thicker than most lace fabric with its alternating shells
and spaces; it makes for great garments.
Tunisian Simple Stitch (Tss): Insert hk, from right to left, into
front vert bar of next st and pull up a lp.
Ch a multiple of 6 sts plus 5.
Row 1 (RS) Fwd: Pull up lp in 2nd ch from hk and ea ch across.
Rtn: Yo, pull through 1 lp on hk, *yo, pull through 2 lps on hk; rep
from * to end.
Row 2 Fwd: Tss in ea st across. Rtn: Yo, pull through 1 lp on hk,
*ch 1, yo, pull through 4 lps on hk (sh made), ch 1, [yo, pull
through 2 lps on hk] 3 times; rep from * to end.
Row 3 Fwd: (Lp on hk counts as 1st st.) *Insert hk into top horiz
bar of sh and pull up a lp, yo, insert hk into same horiz bar and pull
up a lp, Tss in next 3 sts; rep from * across, Tss in last st. Rtn: Yo,
pull through 1 lp on hk, *[yo, pull through 2 lps on hk] 3 times, ch
1, yo, pull through 4 lps on hk (sh made), ch 1; rep from * to end.
Row 4 Fwd: (Lp on hk counts as 1st st.) * Tss in next 3 sts, Insert
hk into top horiz bar of sh and pull up a lp, yo, insert hk into same
horiz bar and pull up a lp; rep from * across, Tss in last 4 sts. Rtn:
