Chrysanthemum
Mums are one of the most unique flowers. The mums in this
pattern work best with stiff acrylic or single-pile wool to let
the petals curl. If your petals do not curl enough, try dropping
down a few hook sizes before changing your yarn choice.
Make an adjustable ring.
Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 2 (counts as hdc), 11 hdc in ring, pull ring
closed, sl st to t-ch, do not turn—12 hdc.
Carnation
Bursting with joy, this flower looks equally lovely in a large bouquet
or as a simple cummerbund.

Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hk, [ch 4, sk 2 ch, sc in next ch] 6

long tail.
Twist the flower into a rose by wrapping the large petals around the
smaller petals, and securing them in the center.
