Mari Cluster Edging

The sweet little clusters look like peas in a pod nestled between the
half double crochet borders for this geometric edging.


The stitch pattern is a multiple of 3 plus 2 on the sides. Join the yarn
to the edge with a sl st, and ch 1.


Rnd 1 (RS): Sc across edge in a multiple of 3 plus 2 to corner, 3 sc
in corner; rep from
around, sl st to 1st sc, turn, sl st back to last sc,
turn.


Rnd 2: Ch 5 (counts as hdc, ch 3), 2 dc-cl in 3rd ch from hk, sk next 2
sc, hdc in next sc, ch 3, 2 dc-cl in 3rd ch from hk, sk 2 sc, hdc in next
sc, rep from
across to corner, ch 3, 2 dc-cl in 3rd ch from hk, sk 1 sc,
hdc in next sc; rep from * around, sl st to 2nd ch of t-ch, do not turn.


Rnd 3: Ch 4 (counts as hdc, ch-2 sp), hdc in next hdc, ch 2, hdc in
next hdc; rep from
to corner, ch 7, hdc in next hdc at corner; rep
from * around, sl st to 2nd ch of t-ch, do not turn.


Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same ch of t-ch, 2 sc in all ch-2 sps across, sc in all
hdc, 9 sc in all ch-7 sps, sl st to 1st sc, fasten off.
