One of the most curious things about
the World War Z the game is that while
it is touted as being based on the Brad
Pitt-starring film, it mentions nothing
about the fantastic book that the film
itself was based on – a shame, really, as
the book is way better than the film. And,
inevitably, the game is an even more
distant adaptation.
Still, if you like mowing down zombie
hordes (and we mean HORDES, with
100s of zombies on screen at once)
while playing one of six classes in both
co-op campaigns and an interesting,
three-sided, player versus player versus
zombies mode, this third person shooter
may be for you.

There’s a lot of interesting talent bound up
in this adventure game based around the
infamous Jack the Ripper and his murderous
activities. There are actors from Torchwood,
Penny Dreadful, and Game of Thrones
providing voicework, and writers from Batman:
Arkham Knight, with design talent coming from
ex-Rocksteady and –Lionhead staffers.
Quite the pedigree!
The game lets you explore real Whitechapel
locations, including the Ripper’s various
crime scenes. There are three playable
characters from Arthurian myth (because,
well... why not), and one of them is even a
dog. So, you know, this is obviously Game of
the Year material right here.
