Complete the Rectangle
Materials: cmgrid paper, rulers, Complete the Rectangle cards
- Choose a card. Each represents a 1cm square. Sketch the
rectangle on centimeter grid paper. Complete the rows and columns. - Label the side lengths of the rectangle.
- Write a multiplication equation to find the area of the rectangle.
- Repeat with other rectangles from the pack.
- Check your work by comparing answers with a partner. Discuss how
you knew where to draw the rows and columns in each rectangle.
