Measures of Capacity


Liquids are measured in ounces, pints, quarts, and gallons (Table 10.3).

Math Note: You should be careful to distinguish between a liquid
ounce, which is a measure of capacity, and an ounce, which is a measure
of weight. Both measures are called ounces, but they are different.
