See how all of  these   slopes  are independent of  the y-values,   so  for each    value   of  x,  the slope   is  the same
vertically, but is  different   horizontally.   Compare this    slope   field   to  the next    example.
Example 2: Given = y, sketch the slope field of the function.
Here,   the slope   of  the curve   at  y   =   1   is  1.  The slope   of  the curve   at  y   =   2   is  2.  The slope   of  the curve   at  the
origin  is  0.  The slope   of  the curve   at  y   =   −1  is  −1. Let’s   make    a   sketch.
