Drought is a naturally occurring event and does not depend on the density of
any organism(s) occurring in the area. However, had the destruction of the
rainforest been due to ranching, timber harvesting, and/or agriculture (as is
the most common cause), then an increase in the number of humans in the
rainforest would increase the amount of rainforest destruction, in which case
the destruction would be due to density-dependent elements.
