could fall.

SOLUTION:

GOAL: You are being asked to find the total number of ways 3 coins can fall.

STRATEGY: Draw a diagram showing the way each coin can land, that is,
heads up or heads down.

IMPLEMENTATION: Each coin can land in two ways: heads or tails.
