To change a decimal to a percent, move the decimal two places to the right
and affix the percent sign.

EXAMPLE:Change each decimal to a percent:
(a) 0.83
(b) 0.05
(c) 4.32
(d) 0.137
SOLUTION:

(a) 0.83¼83%
(b) 0.05¼5%
(c) 4.32¼432%
(d) 0.137¼13.7%
To change a percent to a fraction, drop the percent sign and place the
number in the numerator of a fraction whose denominator is 100. Reduce or
simplify if necessary.
EXAMPLE:Change each percent to a fraction:
(a) 40%
(b) 66%
(c) 125%
(d) 8%
