Albert Baladi has officially become CEO
and president of Beam Suntory, with
previous CEO Matt Shattock transition-
ing to the role of non-executive chairman
of the board. While the move was
announced last October, it wasn’t official
until the end of April. Baladi joined
Beam Suntory eight years ago, and most
recently served as COO and president of
the North America region.
Constellation Brands has appointed
Robert Hanson as executive vice presi-
dent and president of its wine and spirits
business. Hanson previously served on the
company’s board of directors for six years.
Wilson Daniels has promoted Shannon
Coursey to senior vice president and
national sales manager. Coursey joined
Wilson Daniels in 2015, serving as vice
president of the Northeast division. Prior
to that, she held a managerial role at
Vineyard Brands.
Serrallés USA has named John Meisler
as vice president of sales. Meisler joined
the company in 2009 and was previously
sales director. Meisler replaces John
Eason, who has been appointed CEO at
Tromba Tequila.
Stoli Group USA has appointed Lee Tatum
as managing director of its Kentucky Owl
whiskey brand. Tatum has been in the
industry for more than 25 years, most
recently serving as vice president and
director of portfolio innovation at Brown-
Forman. Additionally, Jim Beam Noe has
signed on as a consultant for Stoli’s
planned Kentucky Owl Park distillery and
tourism facility.
Winesellers, Ltd. has promoted three of its
directors to vice president roles as the
company moves to accommodate a planned
expansion. Valerie Lynch-Giroux has
been named vice president of East Coast
region sales, Jim Stover has been named
vice president of retail chains and central
region sales, and Lee Schlesinger has
been named vice president of portfolio
management and education.
C. Mondavi & Family has named Riana
Mondavi as director of off-premise chains
in the west and Spencer Tirschek as
director of national accounts for the
on-premise. Additionally, Christopher
Mouriski has joined the company as vice
president of sales in the west.
Bacardi has promoted Jessica Merz to
director of external corporate communi-
cations, managing, developing, and
executing the company’s communications
across all media platforms. Merz most
recently served as Bacardi’s director of
internal corporate communications.
Plata Wine Partners has named Aaron
Fein as vice president of sales and market-
ing. Fein has held sales positions at Bare-
foot Wines & Bubbly, Constellation
Wines, Jackson Family Wines, Purple
Wine Co., Banfi Vintners, and, most
recently, Vinventions.
Scheid Family Wines has appointed
Miles Johnson as director of marketing.
Previously, Johnson held high-level
marketing positions at such wine compa-
nies as Purple Wine & Spirits and Rémy
Cointreau USA.
Ghost Tequila has named Andrew Teub-
ner as chief commercial officer. Teubner
brings over two decades of industry expe-
rience to the Boston-based company. He
most recently served as vice president of
U.S. sales for Casa Dragones Tequila.
Bend, Oregon-based Deschutes Brewery
has named Neal Stewart as vice president
of marketing. Stewart joins the company
from Dogfish Head Brewery, where he
held the same title. Before that, he worked
on beer brands including Pabst Blue
Ribbon, Rainier, Lone Star, Flying Dog,
and Coors Light.
National craft brewery collective Canar-
chy has appointed industry veteran Tony
Short as CEO. Most recently, Short
served as president of beer distributor
