ANALYSIS of THE NUMbERED bIbLIoGRAPHY STYLE

SAMPLE

Note that the format for the numbered bibliography is the same as for earlier MLA
samples. The addition of numbers marks the only difference.

A Final Note: Reexamine the four forms. Note their differences and similarities, then
follow the format that works best for you. In spite of the emphasis here on format,
keep in mind that your instructor is more interested in content. Be sure that you use
superior writing techniques and that your paper reflects thorough research. Accurate
form will not substitute for careful research or polished writing.
