  1. A 22 pound force that makes an angle of 12◦with an inclined plane is pulling a box up the plane. The inclined
plane makes a 25◦angle with the horizontal. What is the magnitude of the effective force pulling the box up the
    plane?

  2. Anne pulls a wagon on a horizontal surface with a force of 50 pounds. The handle of the wagon makes an angle
of 30◦with the ground. What is the magnitude of the effective force pulling the wagon?
You learned that you can add and subtract vectors just like you can numbers. You saw that vectors also have other
algebraic properties and essentially create an entirely new algebraic structure. There are two ways the product of
vectors can be taken and you studied one way called the dot product. Lastly, you learned to calculate how much of
one vector goes into the direction of another vector.
