November 2020, aged 84. Late of the Rifle
Brigade. Beloved husband of Jenny and

Richard Jeremy Walter died on 25th
November 2020, aged 90, in L’Isle-
sur-la-Sorgue, Provence. A former
editor of the Bristol Evening Post and
a lifelong champion of classical music,
Richard moved from Clifton to his
beautiful farm, Bas Quinsan, in the
Vaucluse, in the early 70s, growing
vines, cherries and cats. Until health
problems intervened, he would spend
the rest of his life there. Tutored in
wine matters by the late Ronald
Avery, he was a fabulous and
generous host, a brilliant cook and a
wonderful raconteur. He will be
greatly missed by his brother, Nic, and
by his wide circle of friends.LAMPLUGH Pat died peacefully on 25th
November in Winchester, aged 86. She will
be missed by her children, Charles and
Clare, and four grandchildren.
PETRIE Anthony (Tony) Edinburgh on
30th November 2020. Tony passed away
peacefully at home after a brave battle. A
dearly loved and devoted husband of 55
years to Alison, great friend and father of
Nicola, David, Tansie and Christopher. A
fine man who adored his nine wonderful
grandchildren. Greatly missed by all his
family.
RICKETT Rosemary (née Ducat) died
peacefully on 29th November 2020, aged
78, after a long illness bravely borne.
Beloved mother of Sophy, James and Lucy,
devoted grandmother of Edie, Lila, Frankie,
Marlowe, Benjy, Eloise and Imogen; sister
of Peter, Andrew and Timothy Ducat;
much-loved partner of Kevin Sheridan.
Private funeral at Shaldon Church on 18th
December. A celebration of Ro’s life will be
arranged at a later date. Donations if

SIMMONS Dr Norman Alan MRCPath CBE
passed away on 27th November 2020,
aged 87. Much-loved husband, father and
brother to Peta, Juliet, Andrea and Cynthia.
The funeral has already taken place. The
family would like to extend heartfelt thanks
