Algebra: Cracking the System
In the last chapter we reviewed some fundamental math concepts featured on the SAT. Many questions on
the SAT combine simple arithmetic concepts with more complex algebraic concepts. This is one way the
test writers raise the difficulty level of a question—they replace numbers with variables, or letters that
stand for unknown quantities. In this chapter you will learn multiple ways to answer these algebraic
questions.
