Converting Percentages to Fractions

To convert a percentage to a fraction, simply put the percentage over 100 and reduce:

You can also convert
fractions to percentages
by cross-multiplying.

4 x =   3(100)

x   =   75

Converting Fractions to Percentages

Because a percentage is just another way to express a fraction, you shouldn’t be surprised to see how
easy it is to convert a fraction to a percentage. To do so, simply use your calculator to divide the top of
the fraction by the bottom of the fraction, and then multiply the result by 100. Here’s an example:
