If you have an old, somewhat underpowered PC, brea the new

life into it by instal ling a Linux distribution such as Peppermint

• which has just hit version 10. Peppermint is built on Ubuntu
  18.04 LTS (long-term suppor t) and uses a lightweight Xfce
  desktop environment. There’s even a 32-bit version available
  for older hardware. There have been a numberof change s
  made to the operating system besides upda ting the code
  base, including adding new graphics and wallpapers. The
  bund led applications have been upda ted, too.

Edge is Windows 10’s default browser but Microsoft is

working on a new version built aroundChromium – the

open-source version of Google Chrome – and has just

releas ed a ‘Canary’ build for macOS to tempt Apple

fonts, menus, keyboar d shortcuts, title casing and more,

and promises macOS-exclusive feat ures , including

contextual actions via the Touch Bar (such as website
