Music Fundamentals A Balanced Approach

(Marvins-Underground-K-12) #1

Notice that the half note may be used in music written in 3/4 but not in 6/8; to use the half note in 6/8 would
obscure the main pulse. Following are examples showing the correct and incorrect usage of the half note.

Exercise 8

Determine the time signature for the following rhythms: 3/4 or 6/8. Write the time signature in for each exercise.
Add bar lines and a double bar at the end. Each exercise has four complete measures.
