presenting Your Group’s Findings (^267)
In summary, although teamwork is a vital part of modern life, working in teams and
groups offers advantages as well as disadvantages. Whether you work on an investigative
team or in a problem-solving group, organize each meeting so that everyone participates
and all group members understand and carry out their responsibilities. Keep a record of
what takes place in each meeting. Problem-solving teams typically go through several
steps in which they identify and analyze a problem and formulate a workable solution.
Both investigative and problem-solving groups present their findings, whether in a
symposium, panel discussion, or group report.
