EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY SPORTS ASSOCIATION Continental Federations 1999-2009

The highest authority of the Federation is the General As-
sembly which meets every two years to formulate the major
policy and issues. General affairs and decision during the
assemblies are handled by the Executive Committee whose
members are elected by the General Assembly. The President
of the federation is Mr. Zhang from China. When the full
Executive Committee is not available, a Steering Commit-
tee meets and the Secretariat takes care of the day to day
operation.

The future plans of the federation foresee the Development

of a Regular Calendar, Inter-Continental Competition and

Asian University Games, Training and Educational Program,

Working Relationship with other continental federations and

national Olympics committees, Liaison with University Au-

thorities, Press and Media, etc.
