EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY SPORTS ASSOCIATION From foundation on 1999-2009
The EUSA Annual General Assembly was held in Belgrade,
Serbia. Two new countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Be-
larus were welcomed in the EUSA Family. Being non-active
Denmark was suspended from the membership. After approv-
ing the reports the Assembly chaired by Mr. Adam Roczek
from Poland also elected the new Executive Committee for
the next 4-years term. Mr. Alberto Gualtieri was re-elected as
the EUSA President.
During the General Assembly the EUSA Awards were pre-
sented for the first time. The Russian State University for
Physical Education, Sports and Tourism won the title of the
Best University in 2007 after their successful year on the
European Universities Championships. The University of Zu-
rich, Switzerland – Ladies Eight Crew was awarded with the
Fair Play Award for their sports behaviour on the European
Universities Rowing Championship. The EUSA Order of Merit
was given to Prof. Dr. Lucija Čok from the University of Pri-
morska, Slovenia for her contribution to the development of
the University Sport.
