4 th EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Slovenian University Sports Association together with the
University of Primorska organised the 4th European Universi-
ties Championship held from July 23 to 30, 2007 in Izola. A
record number of 20 men university teams from 16 European
countries participated in the event. The Opening Ceremony
was held on the open air in the City Centre in the presence of
more than 1000 spectators. The title of the Champions went
for the first time to Ukraine, after the Dniepropetrovsk State
Finance Academy won in the finals by 3:1 the University of
Zagreb which therefore finished for the third time on the
second place.
