CHAMPIONSHIP

14 men and 6 women university teams from 13 European

countries participated in the 2nd European Universities Hand-

ball Championship. The event was held in Lodz, Poland and

was organised by the AZS Poland and the Lodz Organising

Committee. Among the participating teams there were also

for the first time the university teams from Belarus, the coun-

try which joined the EUSA membership that year. The Eu-

ropean Universities Champions 2007 became the Friedrich-

Alexander University of Erlangen Nurnberg in women and

the Belarusian State University in men competition. The girls

from Germany won against all the teams in the women com-

petition, while in the men’s final the result between Belaru-

sian State University and the University of Minho was 38:34.
