36 Moving Images: Making Movies, Understanding Media

Report

For this report, complete all information with a full description of pertinent
examples and analysis. Provide supporting details where necessary, and use
a variety of descriptive terms from the chapter. See the instructor with any
questions. If indicated by the instructor, you may include information from all
class activities in this report.
A. Exercise Work – Write a minimum of one paragraph describing your
work on Exercise 1. Comment on the process of creating this video.
Note the following:


  1. Your position and the completion of your tasks in the
    pr eparations.

  2. Comment on your contributions in completing the
    re quirements for the assignment. Did you complete the
    scene? Why or why not?

  3. Diffi culties that were encountered as a group and possible
    solutions that were devised—or not!
    B. Video Analysis –Write a minimum of two paragraphs to evaluate
    the sequence you shot. Comment on the eff ectiveness of the motion
    picture in reference to the following elements:

  4. Framing of the shots: Are compositions eff e ctive for the scene?

  5. Length and juxtapositions of shots: How are the edits?

  6. Performances: Are they consistent with the group objectives
    for the scene?

  7. Overall eff ectiveness of movie and story: Are you satisfi ed
    with the scene?
