ABSOLUTE VALUE


To find the absolute value of a number, simply strip the number within the vertical lines of its sign.

When absolute value expressions contain different arithmetic operations, perform the operation and then strip the sign from the
result.

FINDING THE ABSOLUTE VALUE


To find the absolute value of a number, simply strip it of its sign. This represents the distance from zero on a number line.
