Overview

Algebra problems will appear in two forms on the SHSAT: as regular math problems and as word problems. Word problems are a
little more heavily represented and will be dealt with in the following chapter. This chapter will give you a chance to review the
basic algebra concepts that you’ll see on the test. The Word Problems chapter will build on these concepts and introduce word
problem–specific skills.
