  1. (C) Achievement motivation is typically defined as a person’s drive to be successful in work or
    school. Achievement motivation is more closely linked to how good a job one seeks to do than to
    the type of job (e.g., doctor) that one has. People with high achievement seek to do their best, not
    merely to make money or gain other extrinsic rewards, but because they want to challenge
    themselves.
