Savanna

This region in northern India is warm
all year round. It has the highest
grasslands in the world—some
grow more than 10 ft (3 m)
tall! The grasslands provide
food for deer and rhinos,
and cover for predators
such as the tiger.

Himalayas
Running through northeast India and parts of
five other Asian countries, the Himalayas are
the world’s highest mountains. Their highest,
rockiest areas offer enough food sources for
the rare snow leopard, and this strong yak.

Bornean rain forest
Borneo is the third-biggest
island in the world, and the
Bornean rain forest is 140 million
years old! About 221 mammal
species live here, including Asia’s
only great ape, the highly
endangered orangutan.
