Students will:
 Describe the life of someone living in the time of ancient Greece
using details from “Alexander the Great, Part I” (RI.2.8)
 Create an original narrative about someone living in the time of
ancient Greece with characters and a beginning, middle, and an
end (W.2.3)
 With guidance and support from adults and peers, focus on
writing a fi ctional narrative and strengthen writing as needed by
revising and editing (W.2.5)
 Participate in a share writing project for a fi ctional narrative
(W.2.7)
 Discuss personal responses to solving a problem by fi rst observing
things and then coming up with a clever idea and connect those to
Alexander in the story “Alexander the Great, Part I” (W.2.8)
 With assistance, categorize and organize facts and information
on the ancient Greek civilization (W.2.8)
