- Explain to students that this is a timeline. A timeline is a line
that represents a certain amount of time. Tell students that this
timeline represents all the time that has passed from the time of
King Hammurabi until today—over four thousand years! Explain
that it is very easy to see on the timeline that King Hammurabi
lived many, many years ago. Explain to students that this part of
the timeline represents the time of Warad, Iddin, Amur, and King
Hammurabi.
[Invite a volunteer to point to the time of King Hammurabi. Invite
another student to point to the present-day or “modern” times.]
