    been caused by a giant meteorite from outer space. [Point to
    the meteorite.]

  2. Say meteorite with me three times.

  3. A meteorite is a meteor, or a piece of space rock, that falls
    from space to the earth’s surface.

  4. Karina saw a piece of meteorite when she visited the natural
    history museum.

  5. Do you remember hearing about meteors in the Astronomy
    domain? Tell your partner what you know about meteors.
    (They are not stars; they fl y around in space; they burn up
    when they enter Earth’s atmosphere; they look like shooting
    stars.)
