Kay’s dad had fun on the trip, but
he spent a lot of cash. He takes what
is left of his Mexican cash and has it
turned back into U .S. cash.
At the ticket counter, Kay’s dad
takes charge. He barks out orders.
“This way, Kay!”
“Stay close to me, Martez!”
“Children, get out your passports!”
The children get their passports out.
Kay’s mom gets hers out. But Kay’s
dad’s is nowhere to be found.
