Antonyms are words that mean the opposite. For example, Our spelling words this week are antonyms and synonyms. cold

is an antonym of the same meaning. hotCool. Synonyms are words that have almost is a synonym for cold. You can practice

with your child in this way: say the italicized word and ask your child to think of the word that is a synonym or antonym for that word

and write it down. For example:
