thorax, and abdomen

 Identify the placement and/or purpose of an insect’s body parts

 Describe an insect’s exoskeleton

 Compare and contrast grasshoppers and crickets

from “Insects That Glow and Sing” (W.2.8)

 Generate questions and gather information from multiple

sources to answer questions about insects (W.2.8)

 Add drawings to descriptions of fi refl ies, grasshoppers, and
