[Tell students, “Dame is an old English word used for a woman.”]
[Say the next verse in a high pitched voice and hold up the number three with
your fingers.]
And one for the little boy

Who lives down the lane.

[Tell students, “A lane is a small street or road.” Move one hand forward in a
straight line.]

Third Read Using Echo Technique
Directions: I am going to say the first line of “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep.”
Then you will echo the words.
Note: Pause after each line and prompt students to echo.
